Jamarcus Russell to try out with Bears
Jamrcus Russell has been working out very hard to shed unwanted pounds and work his way back into the NFL. His goals are close to being realized as the Chicago Bears have invited him to tryout this Friday for their backup quarterback position. They have had a problem at the QB spot anytime starter Jay Cutler has missed time due to injury.
Russell was a highly touted player coming out of LSU as a first round pick with the Oakland Raiders. Russell has been working with former NFL QB Jeff Garcia. Garcia was quoted as saying the Bears were an “ideal” landing spot for the troubled quarterback. The other options the Bears will be or could choose to look at are as follows:
